Process

In order to complete your task you should follow the steps put forth in this process section.


1. You need to create a PowerPoint presentation that is at least 25 slides in length.
This is a really good link that you could use to learn how to create a PowerPoint presentation.
PowerPoint in the Classroom, http://www.actden.com/pp/2. Be sure to read about choosing a slide design and inserting graphics.3. Using the Internet, find at least 3 resources that provide background information concerning the solar system. There are many places on the Internet where you can find free resources. Please include all of your resources in your PowerPoint presentation.

4. Add these resources to your PowerPoint presentation. Be sure that you give credit where credit is due, and cite your resources correctly. The above link will tell you how to cite your resources correctly.

5. Visit the links provided in the "Resources" section of this WebQuest. These links will also provide you with information concerning the solar system.

6. Fill out the chart on the planets. Click HERE to see chart 7. Use the Orbit Design for the slide design. If you do not have the orbit design you may use just a black background with light grey text.8. In your PowerPoint presentation make sure that you include at least one image of each of the planets in the solar system.
There are many places on the Internet where you can find free images. Please take a look at the list below and follow the directions about saving an image.
http://www.wpclipart.com/space/ is a good place to start.Click on the image (click and hold the mouse button on a Macintosh, right click the mouse on a Windows or Unix based machine) which will bring up a pop-up menu.

Select "Save image" on Opera, "Save Image As..." if using Netscape or "Save Picture As..."on a Windows based machine or "Save this Image as..." on a Macintosh.
When prompted, enter a name for the file (it may insert it for you) or you can change the name so long as you leave the file extension the same. (That's the .gif or .jpg part of the file name.)
Save your file and add it to your proposal/essay.
*Save your Microsoft Word file by clicking on the word File. Then select "Save As". Then select .doc or document. Name your file "theme". Click on the word "SAVE".
